Chassange Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot 2022

TASTING NOTE:Fine mid lemon yellow. An attractive reduction, gives the impression of stones with the clay. Decent weight, with energy and depth of fruit, a few yellow plums but not exaggerated ripeness. The Abbaye de Morgeot shows a good fruit-acid balance to finish. Drink from 2026-2031. Tasted: February 2024

Certified organic.This smells richer and more intense than the Meursault 2022 just tasted. More golden and spicy (more new oak?). Fatter on the palate, with just enough freshness to balance. A little bit heavy/broad for my personal taste but it has plenty of weight and presence in the mouth and the freshness kicks in the finish. (JH)
