TASTING NOTE:16 months in barrel, around 20% new.Mid cherry red and slightly darker than Sous La Cabotte 2022. Deep, open aroma of mostly dark-red fruit but also a suggestion of blackberries and a dusting of oak spice. Firmer and more chewy than the Sous La Cabotte, more structured and more savoury on the palate and more obvious oak. Tannins are compact, fine-grained. Nicely chewy finish but a slightly sour aftertaste. Not yet fully meshed? (JH)
